7 Summits

From the Roof of the World to the World Stage

Bhutan’s Constitution declares that “every citizen is a trustee of the environment.” As one of those trustees, Jamyang has pledged to continue advocating for the dying glaciers — not only in Bhutan but across the planet.

The next chapter is bold:
He plans to collect glacier ice from the Seven Summits — the highest mountains on all seven continent — to show that what is happening in the Himalayas is part of a global emergency. Glaciers on Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa and Puncak Jaya in Oceania are projected to vanish within a decade. Meanwhile, the Antarctic ice sheet is nearing an irreversible tipping point. By bearing witness to these changes, the campaign will carry a message from the roof of the world to the United Nations General Assembly in New York — a message that connects the voice of the mountains to the conscience of humanity.

The team plans to finish the expedition within 13 months, from April 2027 to May 2028, corresponding to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (UN SDG) number 13, which is Climate Action.

Join Us: From Urgency to Hope

This is not a commercial expedition. It’s a collective call to act, led by a small team of Bhutanese friends and family — bound by purpose.

The glaciers cannot speak for themselves.
The rivers cannot march to New York.
The forests cannot write letters to world leaders.
But we can. Each of us carries a voice, a skill, and a story. Let’s give the glaciers a voice — before
it’s too late. Together, we can turn urgency into action — and action into hope.
